Both were directly from Amazon oddly enough.
That's worrisome and good to know for the future, I've got some POs with Amazon. Companies like AmiAmi treat their orders as sacred, and I'd have thought Amazon with deeper pockets would be no less. Basically, Amazon Japan must not be operating on truly Japanese principles of customer commitment. In the US, we are used to Prime and while they do a good job, delivery is always best effort, and with bigger ticket items that involve white glove delivery, I've had some nightmare stories. They are just too big and carry too many products to care if some people slip through the cracks.
