Simply put, there is far too much room in the corridors to safely store and transport double-sleeved cards anywhere you would want to play Magic: The Gathering. See the photos for perspective. This kind of dead space in boxes creates room for your cards to jostle and bang around over time, and even if the material is soft on the touch, it will eventually wear down corners. Minimally you're going to have to replace card sleeves regularly, or even worse, you are going to damage cards. Unless you are going to buy heavily into the deck boxes as well, this box is simply not suitable for use as advertised.
TCC gave this an A+? Really? They lost all credibility in my eyes with that review. I'm genuinely surprised that that the prof wouldn't call this out as a massive issue with the design.

As others have already mentioned, the card storage area of this box is bigger than the standard card with sleeves. If you want to use this box to store cards that are out of deck boxes then you'll the side panels that are shown on the official pictures of this product.
Out of the box, this isn't really designed to hold cards that are not in deck boxes.
This isn't an issue for me as I bought this specifically to hold my Gamegenic "Deck book" Keyforge deck boxes which are larger than most deck boxes and fits perfectly here. Normal sized deck boxes also fits but there will be a gab because, again, the storage area is a bit bigger than most other storage boxes out there.
In the picture, you can see that the Keyforge deck boxes fit perfectly while the other, smaller, deck boxes have enough of a gap that I can store packs of sleeves in.
This storage box can also fit a single player playmat on each side.
Build quality is excellent and I love that the lid can be removed. For some, the extra room will be a downside but for me it's exactly what I needed.
